Maxi-Matic Indoor Electric Grill Review

Perfect for Meats and Vegetables

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Recommendation: Great Value and Consistent

The Perfect Grill for Korean BBQ at Home

The Maxi-Matic Elite Electric Indoor Grill is a fantastic piece of hardware. I received this as a gift this past holiday season (2019), and have had nothing but great experiences with it. It is very easy to set up, all you need to do is plug it in, select the temperature you want, and it is ready for cooking. The grill heats up in under a minute and has no issues with cold spots or temperature maintenance. I have primarily used it for Korean BBQ, which involves a variety of meats from thin sliced beef to thick pieces of pork belly. Throughout its 6+ months of use, I have not experienced any issues with the grill ( My own cooking skill is a different story). It is not only great for meats but vegetables too, I have cooked a variety of vegetables like zucchini and bean sprouts with good results.

KBBQ For My Roommates and I

Come the end of the meal, clean up is pretty easy as well. The heated portion of the grill is removable and dishwasher safe, and the non-stick surface makes wiping away burnt on juices and sauces simple.

The only 2 complaints I have on the grill are minor and easily fixed. The first of the two is the cord length. The cord is only about 2 feet (.6 Meters) long, so if you do want to set it on the dining room table for a communal style KBBQ experience I would recommend a basic extension cord (Amazons Choice) for few dollars if you don’t have an extra laying around. My other complaint is that after a certain amount of time (20-30 minutes) the grill will start to turn off. While I think this a most likely a safety feature, it is something to be aware of if you are wondering why your food stopped cooking! To turn it back on, all it needs is quick tap of the temperature knob and it will heat back up with no issue.

Overall, I think this Maxi-Matic Grill is a great addition to any kitchen or dining room. While it may not be able to compete with the big gas burner in the backyard, it does allow for a cheap and simple grilling experience in the comfort of your home. I have enjoyed mine so much, that I recently purchased one as a gift for friend’s birthday, and could see myself giving a few more.

Maxi-Matic makes a bigger rectangular version as well for about $20 more. I have not personally used this one so I cannot speak to it, but would love to hear feedback from anyone who has or looks to get one in the future. Leave a comment or DM us on instagram or twitter @MinhandTim.
